Transactions
Transactions are the raw material for cashflow intelligence. Pouch ingests a customer’s bank transactions and enriches each one before its detection engine runs.
Enrichments
Every transaction carries enrichments Pouch uses (and you can surface to your users):
| Enrichment | Description |
|---|---|
| Merchant | The identified merchant, with a display name and logo where available |
| Category | A two-level category (l1 → l2), e.g. bills → utilities |
| Regularity | Whether the transaction looks recurring (weekly, monthly, …) |
| Tags | Additional descriptive tags |
Regularity and category enrichments are inputs to detection, but the income/expense cycles and the cashflow figures are produced by Pouch’s own engine — see the Cashflow overview.
Correcting a transaction
If a transaction is mis-treated — a transfer counted as spend, a shared bill, a one-off you want ignored — you can correct it. Those corrections feed straight back into the cashflow figures. See Editing transactions.
